Fiona Harrison gained her degree at the Royal College of Music and continued her studies at Yale University, USA, graduating as a Master of Music. Having previously won the major guitar prizes of the RCM, she entered Yale as the Leon Brooks Walker Scholar and recipient of an Award from the Countess of Munster Musical Trust. She has appeared on television, broadcast live on BBC radio and worked with international cruise lines as a solo recitalist. Her European appearances include performances of Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez in the UK and Spain and her ensemble work includes flute and guitar performances in London's Purcell Room and Barbican Centre.



Parallel to her performing career, Fiona enjoys leading workshops, masterclasses and private classes. She worked as part of the ABRSM professional development team for many years, mentoring for the CT ABRSM, a one year professional development course for instrumental teachers and she co-runs residential flute and guitar courses with Julie Wright and Atarah Ben-Tovim, MBE. Fiona also works as a music festival adjudicator and is an experienced external assessor for the junior department of the Royal College of Music.
